I haven’t written anything on the blog in the past school
year, but I have been reflecting on the different activities that I have been
doing I just write about them as email draft or documents on my computer that I
would write up on car rides. The next couple of journal entries will be in
chronological order and will have the date on the top of each entry.
In this past year I have realized how hard is to keep a blog
going! I got used to writing what is on my mind, on my personal journal or as
draft towards Miss Amy about my different CAS activities. So here is a little
summary of my senior year.
Summer 11th-12th grade: I really tired to take time for myself I only
took a week on study math and finish the first draft on my extended essay. I
felt like I needed the summer to myself in order to start with energy and
finish my last high school year strong.
Trimester 1: I felt like this trimester I was able to have a
balance life regarding all the ups and downs that I was having in my personal
life. I managed to get myself involved in several activities like usually , yes
I can’t help it… it’s part of who I am. I felt there was a balance between my
social and academic life. Staying strong in my academic life was the hardest
due to personal reasons but I learned to value my friends and teachers and
asking them for help.
December Break: After an intense first trimester I felt like
again I had to stay way from working in CAS and everything. I needed time to
focus on myself, college, where I wanted to go and most importantly what I want
to study (it’s crazy how 17 year old make decisions that will change their
entire lives during this time!). Even though I should have worked on yearbook I
recognize that I need to have free time as well.
Trimester 2: This trimester felt rewarding, all my hard work
in my academic years has pay off, all my knowledge gain from CAS and being a
leader has gotten my accepted into colleges and received scholarships. Also I
maintained the balance in my life and got ahead in academic matters.
Spring Break: Is so close! Just less than two weeks away. This will be
a very important time, I will be working a lot on yearbook, I will be working
as a chaperon, while studying for final IB exams and deciding where I’m going
to go for college. Some intense 3 weeks right there…
The last round: By this time we should be done with CAS
already but after exams and in between my summer job I will be training Denis
and giving him the final details about being a yearbook director and once the
yearbooks arrive I will be officially passing the title of Yearbook Director to
him. So excited!
